Onboard power supply solutions for engines, cockpits, tailgates, door wiring harnesses, chassis, ABS systems, airbags for cars, trucks and commercial vehicles.
We offer innovative solutions for configurable power supply modules – using alternative conductor materials as well as unique components for hybrid/electric vehicles.
We are also your contact for the development of foam-coated connection plugs and grommets for cable sets – which must be dimensionally stable, easy to assemble and, in particular, space-saving.
Of course, this also includes the assembly of several components into an overall system. The focus is always on weight reduction and optimized space utilization concepts in order to save space and energy.
Every cable set delivered is 100% tested.
During the development phase, Cofat uses the appropriate software tools to simulate implementation of the vehicle electrical systems under real conditions in the vehicle and also for its own production. Our experienced employees ensure that the product is optimized during the development phase in consultation with the customer. The resulting findings are backed up by prototypes.

Engine cable sets
Cable systems for controlling vehicle components are becoming increasingly important in all vehicle types (cars, trucks, commercial vehicles). Passenger comfort is also becoming a priority. Optimum connection and compatibility are required to ensure this, because engine cable harnesses have to withstand very tough environmental conditions: high temperatures, engine fluids, shocks, road salt in winter… Engine cable harnesses that run inside the engine must be able to absorb strong vibrations.
Cofat has set itself the task of developing and certifying solutions for highly complex engine cable harnesses with the appropriate all-round protection for all vehicle types.
We can also develop and produce the individually manufactured grommets, sleeves and protective brackets required for this with our partner. Innovative foaming technologies for dimensionally stable cable sets offer guaranteed protection against vibrations and extreme environmental conditions (temperature, dirt, humidity) as well as abrasion of the cables.
Full EDS architecture
The electronic differential lock (EDS) is an assistance system installed in the vehicle. You could also say it’s a nervous system, as it moves power and data throughout the vehicle. High-speed data needs to be sent from the sensors (eyes and ears) to the server (brain) to slow the wheel down to a certain speed if, for example, wheel spin occurs when starting off.
